Daniel Boone Regional Library Workers United

We officially ratified our first contract!

On December 19, 2023, the Daniel Boone Regional Library board voted to approve our collective bargaining agreement, ending an arduous negotiation process and ratifying the first ever contract for library workers in Missouri!

This historic victory comes after the DBRL board attempted to jeopardize our wages and healthcare coverage by rejecting the tentative agreement we reached in negotiations at the last minute. Because community members and supporters stood firm with our union and spoke up against their bad faith bargaining, we won the contract we deserve.

We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the solidarity and support we have received throughout our journey of building power through organizing. It has been long and dramatic (to say the least), but knowing how life changing this new contract is for all of us makes everything worth it in the end.

May you have a joyous and restful holiday season and Happy New Year.

In gratitude,

DBRL Workers United - AFSCME Local 3311
